Seasons: My Failed Experiment

Well, I planned to test the new TS2 EP Seasons much like Ruby did in her 4 Seasons test blog. Though I will say from the start, things did not go quite as well for my test sims. Actually, this is just a quick post detailing their short time as my test group. Without further delay, lets meet the lucky sims...

Meet the Weathers.

The Weathers are four randomly created sims that will be testing each season by living on the lawn.

Icy Weathers will be our winter test sim. She will have the coldest days to endure, though it suits her cool personality.

Next is Rain Weathers. Rain has signed up for the spring portion of the lawn test. He is a lover, not a fighter, so spring seems to suit him.

This is Dry Weathers. Introverted and quiet, Dry is willingy planning to subject himself to summers blistering heat...with that fair skin he could be in trouble!

Windy Weathers will be our fall tester. As free as the leaves that float to the ground at the begining of Autumn, Windy is perfect for fall.

This is where our team of testers have been residing. Winter is our first season, as you can see. The compound built for the testers is rather bare bones. There are three small apartments for the off seasons, and a roof covering the area where our current test sim is keeping their things while living on the lawn. There is also a green house in the back and room for an expansion, ie. a pool or skating rink, sometime in the future.

Here is a shot of the lot with the walls down to get a better idea of what the conditions are for out test sims.

For a while things were going well. Icy was enjoying winter.

Or so it seemed...she was the one to make the snowman on the left (the other was built by one of her roommates)...not a happy looking snowman now is he?

Her next move was to demolish Mr. Happy Looking Snowman...

She then proceeded to pat herself on the back for her accomplishment. What a brat!

And this, my friends, was the begining of the end for our test group. It all started with this breakdown caused by a small and non harmful fire that started after Icy lit the fire place.

Things were not going well. Then, Dry started looking for a job and he found one (I wanted to check out a couple of the new careers while I was at this test).

And he was fired the FIRST day for a bad chance card. Ugh. So he was off to look in the paper for another job. And little did I know that he set the darn paper right in front of the darn fireplace!

And chaos ensued...while trying to put Dry out...

Icy also went up in flames. Unable to stop freaking out long enough to put their housemates out, Windy and Rain watched their friends parrish in the flames after only four days of living together.

At this point, I made a decision to head back to Rose Island (my prosperity challenge). I missed my prosperity sims desperatley, and after spending such a long time creating the Weathers and their compound, to lose two of them within the first week was too much for me to handle. So, I have put the testers on the back burner and have delved back into prosperity...possibly planning to revisit this group at some point. Either way, this has been my first adventure with Seasons.

OMG! I can't believe after all that work they died so quickly! Darn that man and his losing the job and then the newspaper thing and and ... oh well I love reading Rose Island..
Sorry this ended so abruptly for you! Maybe we need to be sure to invest in a smoke alarm early on!
